Note From The Artist
Note From The Artist
In 1755, an earthquake tore through Lisbon — one of the most devastating in European history. The ground gave way, and nothing that came after was untouched by it.
But Lisbon rebuilt. What stands there now — the color, the life, the beauty of it — was carried forward by everyone who chose to stay and start again.
This piece isn’t the moment of the quake. It’s what continued to move through everything, long after the shaking stopped.
