From The Studio

In 1755, an earthquake tore through Lisbon — one of the most devastating in European history. A fire and tsunami followed.

But Lisbon rebuilt. What stands there now — the color, the life, the beauty of it — was carried forward by everyone who chose to stay and start again.

This piece represents what was lots and what was rebuilt after the waters receded.
